After finishing my photo internship at U.S. News and World Report in November 2003, I began my freelance career covering the 2004 Presidential campaign. I continued covering The White House for Time and Newsweek. In October 2007, the U.S. Department of State contracted me to serve as Secretary Condoleezza Rice’s official photographer. Currently I work for clients including US Holocaust Museum, Public Welfare Foundation, and Justice Policy Institute.

After reading a Washington Post article about organ donation in March 2008, I founded a 501(c)3 non-profit storytelling project called The Waiting List with the goal of humanizing the statistics with a name, face, and a story. I have never needed an organ transplant, or known anyone who did before starting this project. However I recognized a unique opportunity to make a positive social change for the future by doing what I love.

I am available for travel and assignment.
